Winnie-the-Pooh & Piglet Necklace

Winnie-the-Pooh & Piglet Necklace

I wonder what’s going to happen exciting today” - A. A. Milne, Winnie-the-Pooh

Featuring a cheerful quote from Piglet on one side, the other side of this pendant is engraved with an illustration of Winnie-the-Pooh and Piglet from “We Say Good-bye,” the closing chapter of A. A. Milne’s Winnie-the-Pooh. Milne is most famous for his two “Pooh” books about a boy named Christopher Robin who was named after his son and various characters inspired by his son’s stuffed animals, most notably the bear named Winnie-the-Pooh.

Inspired by antique and ancient jewelry inscribed with poetry and words of love, Laurel Elliott creates pieces that celebrate what we wear as a reflection of who we are and where we’ve been. Jewelry molds are made and cut by hand for casting with a technique in use since ancient times.

The original Winnie-the-Pooh and friends are on display at the Polonsky Exhibition of The New York Public Library’s Treasures.
